Jaafari: UNSC Member States Use it, to Implement Heinous Agenda Targeting Sovereign States

NEWYORK,UNITED NATIONS,(ST)_ Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari, stressed that the French, British and U.S. delegations to the UN Security Council provide fragmented information and thereby abusing the UNSC presidency regarding the situation in Syria.

“The hybrid French -American and British diplomacy is strange and rejected”, Jaafari said in a press conference held, following a closed session held by the UN Security Council last night about the situation in the city of Homs, adding that they focus only on what is called the old city of Homs and forget the Turkish -sponsored terrorism against Kasab “.

Jaafari noted the numerous errors committed by the UNSC member states and staff of its Secretariat who did not provide the council with proper information, enabling it to take the appropriate action.

“They are taking the UNSC in the wrong directions exactly as they did twenty years ago with respect to Rwanda and repeat the same mistakes they made in Iraq, Libya, Lebanon, Somalia, and now they want to repeat the same in Syria, as they are taking advantage of the Council to achieve heinous agendas, targeting UNSC sovereign member states,” Jaafari said.

He indicated that the Syrian government sent five identical letters to the UN Secretary- General and the President of the UN Security Council in this regard, but the French, the British and the Americans did not move to call any UN official to brief the UNSC Council on the Turkish assault against a sovereign state, member of the United Nations.
