Mexican President calls for the recognition of the State of Palestine

MEXICO, Oct.12, (ST)-New Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum called for the recognition of the State of Palestine in order to achieve peace in the Middle East.

AFP quoted Sheinbaum as saying today in her first statement on the Middle East: “The establishment of a Palestinian state must be recognized,” warning of the consequences of the continued Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

She clarified that the continuation of the war on the Palestinians would never lead to a good result, stressing her country’s firm position for several years.
