Israeli enemy fails to advance towards the southern border villages with occupied Palestine, says Lebanese Resistance

BEIRUT, Oct.12, (ST)- The Lebanese National Resistance stressed that the Israeli enemy failed in its attempts to advance towards the southern border villages with occupied Palestine in the eastern sector, and to control any of the strategic hills to which it was trying to advance, and was content with reaching some houses on the outskirts of some border villages with the aim of taking pictures and organizing media visits.

The Resistance Operations Room said in a statement released yesterday: “Before the Israeli enemy attempted to advance on the new axes, the Israeli Air Force launched dozens of raids in conjunction with violent artillery shelling from land and sea on the towns of Al-Dahira, Alma Al-Shaab, and Naqoura.”

It  added that at dawn on Tuesday, an Israeli enemy army force attempted to advance from Ras al-Naqoura towards the Labouneh border area with the aim of reaching the UNIFIL force center in Labouneh and stationing itself there. The resistance fighters confronted it with appropriate weapons and forced it to retreat.

“The Israeli enemy army tried again to advance on Wednesday, through three axes, towards Labouneh, but the fighters confronted it in every attempt with missile weapons, artillery shells, and guided missiles and forced it to retreat, causing heavy losses among its soldiers. It pointed out that the resistance fighters also observed an infiltration attempt by a force last Wednesday from Ras Al-Naqoura towards the Al-Mushairfa area, they targeted it, killing and wounding most of its members.

The resistance’s missile force and air force also continue to target the Israeli military bases and settlements  in northern occupied Palestine, stressing that all previous military operations of the resistance were carried out with high, complete and timely coordination between the leadership of the resistance and the operations room and fighters.

It indicated that the Israeli enemy army, days after it announced the start of what it called the ground maneuver in southern Lebanon, could not show its tanks and military vehicles to the Lebanese side for fear of being targeted and placed them in uncovered places. Despite this, they were targeted with missiles and artillery shells and suffered heavy losses again.

It emphasized the failure of the Israeli enemy, until the moment of preparing this statement.

The resistance concluded its statement by saying: “The Israeli enemy army turns the homes of settlers in some of the settlements of occupied northern Palestine into centers for its officers and soldiers, and its military bases that manage the aggression against Lebanon are also located inside settlement neighborhoods in the major occupied cities such as Haifa, Tiberias, Acre, and other areas… These houses and military bases are targets of the resistance’s missile and air force, and therefore we warn settlers against being near these military gatherings in order to preserve their lives and until further notice……. The Israeli enemy’s settlements in northern occupied Palestine will remain free of settlers until the war on Gaza and Lebanon stops.”
