Draw for National Cup

DAMASCUS,(ST)-Draw for the 2013-2014 National Cup has been made at the Football Association’s headquarters in Damascus.

Eighteen clubs from 1st division and 21 from 2nd division have confirmed participation in the event.

The 1st round will be launched on June 15 .One week later the 2nd round will be held while the 16th round will be held on June 29.

The quarter-finals will be held on July 20 while the contest’s final will be held on  July 27.

As for the contest’s format, matches will be held according to the round-robin format  on neutral stadia. In case the matches ended in a draw. The match will be extended for half an hour. Shoot outs will define the winner eventually.

The first division clubs which confirmed participation in the said event are as follows:

Majd, Karama, Hurria, Hutteen, Wahda, Nawaeer, Taleeaa, Jihad, Tishreen, Futuwa, Jaish, Ittihad, Shurta, Omaya, Wahda, Musfat Banias, Jazeera and Muhafaza.

The 2nd division clubs are: Ifreen, Yarmouk, Ommal Aleppo, Hirafiou Aleppo, Shabaa, Tadamon, Jablah, Khabour, Sahil, Hirak, Shahba, Mleiha, Irbin, Nidal, Ommal Quneitra, Harasta, Breiqa, Arabi,Kissweh, Daraya and Joulan.
