The Iranian Embassy in London confirmed that the allegations made by the head of the British Intelligence service about Iranian interference in British affairs are baseless and aim to mislead public opinion about London’s complicity with the Zionist entity in its crimes.
IRNA quoted the embassy as saying in a statement”: one of the British government security officials has once again accused Iran of conspiring against Britain without providing any evidence for these baseless allegations. These allegations appear to be aimed at diverting public opinion from the British government’s complicity in waging wars and genocides committed by the Zionist entity today”.
The Iranian embassy said: The British government, instead of seeking to defame others, should use its influence to stop the Zionist entity’s attacks, and stop providing a safe haven for terrorist groups and gangs that promote hatred and violence inside Britain.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei has condemned the repetition of these allegations over the past two years without providing any evidence.
Referring to the repeated use of the word “possible” by the British authorities in describing fabricated accusations and claims against Iran, Baghaei considered that the behavior of the security authorities in London in accusing Tehran is consistent with the policy of artificial hostility and distorting public opinion.
