Oman calls for a firm international stance to end Israeli aggression

Muscat (ST) – The Sultanate of Oman called on the international community to take firm positions to reach a ceasefire in Gaza Strip and Lebanon, and to end the escalating Israeli aggression in the region, stressing the need to adhere to international and humanitarian law, including stopping all forms of military support for the Israeli occupation, which prolongs human suffering.

The Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs called in a statement today for commitment to a just and comprehensive political solution that guarantees the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, most notably the establishment of their independent state in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions, stressing the need to stop supporting the Israeli occupation and supplying it with weapons.

On Friday, Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al Busaidi stressed that ending the illegal Israeli occupation of Palestine helps the region and the world restore peace.
