Cuba: The US is complicit in terrorist violence

HAVANA, Oct.5, (ST)-Cuba has strongly protested the US authorities’ release of the gunman who opened fire on its embassy in Washington in 2020, declaring that the United States is complicit in terrorist violence.

The Cuban Foreign Ministry said in a statement published by AFP: “The Cuban government strongly protests a new act of complicity by the United States in terrorist violence against Cuba.”

According to the American press, Alexander Alazo, who is accused of opening fire on the diplomatic mission in April 2020, will be released under strict conditions as of October 15.

In September 2023, a person targeted the Cuban embassy by throwing two Molotov cocktails, causing no casualties.
