The Organization of Islamic Cooperation Calls for an Immediate Cessation of Israeli Aggression on Gaza and the West Bank

The OIC strongly condemned the escalation of war crimes committed by the Israeli occupation throughout the Palestinian territories, the latest of which was the heinous massacre committed by its forces yesterday in the West Bank city of Tulkarem, which claimed the lives of dozens of martyrs and wounded.

The organization stressed in a statement today quoted by the Palestinian WAFA agency that the Tulkarem massacre is an extension of a long series of crimes and flagrant violations of international humanitarian law, international human rights law and relevant UN resolutions that require accountability and prosecution before international forums, including the International Criminal Court.

The organization called on the UN Security Council to shoulder its responsibilities and take urgent action towards imposing an immediate and comprehensive cessation of the brutal Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
