Iran condemns G7’s biased stance on continued Israeli aggression

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei condemned the biased stance of the Group of Seven G7 towards the continued Israeli attacks on Gaza, Lebanon and regional countries.

In a statement today, Baghaei said: “If the G7 is really interested in the peace and security of the region, it should use its influence to immediately end the genocide against the Palestinians and stop the Zionist aggression against Lebanon, Syria and other countries in the region.”

Baghaei condemned the group’s stance on Iran’s recent missile retaliation operation against military and security targets of the Zionist entity, stressing that “Iran’s response comes within the framework of the inherent right to legitimate defense, and in accordance with international laws and norms,” stressing that the use of threats and sanctions to pressure the Iranian people is condemned.

The Iranian spokesman pointed out that the irresponsible interventions of some actors from outside the region, including America, which fully supports the occupying Israeli entity, are the main cause of instability in the region.

The Iranian official added: “The G7 member states are clearly responsible for the aggravated situation in the ME region, especially the US which bears full responsibility for the aggravation of the state of instability and insecurity in the West Asia region due to the comprehensive military, financial and political support for the aggressors,” warning of the dire consequences of continuing this approach on peace and stability in the region and beyond.
