Iraq: International community has a moral and humanitarian responsibility to stop the massacres of Israeli occupation in Palestine and Lebanon

Iraq’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Abbas Kazim Obaid, warned that the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation entity in Palestine and Lebanon without any deterrence are dragging the region into a comprehensive war.
The Iraqi news agency quoted Obaid as saying in a speech during a session of the UN Security Council yesterday: “The international community has a moral and humanitarian responsibility to stop the occupation’s massacres in Palestine and Lebanon”. He noted “the transfer of the war to Lebanon and the possibility of its expansion constitutes a serious threat to the region”.
He added: The UN Security Council must issue immediate and binding resolutions to ceasefire. Its failure to intervene so far opens the door for the entity to persist and continue its violations. He said: “The failure to deter the crimes of the Zionist entity is dragging the region into broad conflicts and a comprehensive war”.
