Sabbagh meets with a number of members of Syrian Community in the United states

At the conclusion of his visit to Dubai to participate in the 79th session of the General Assembly, the minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Bassam Sabbagh met with a number of members of the Syrian Community in the United States.

During the meeting , Minister Sabbagh reviewed the situation in Syria,  and the efforts made by the Syrian government to provide basic services to the Syrians despite the major challenges facing it, and in combating the remnants of terrorist organizations, and the illegal presence of American and Turkish forces on Syrian territory.  In addition, he also talked about the economic blockade and unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States and other Western countries on the Syrian people, which cause huge suffering to citizens, stressing the important role of the community members in exposing these practices to American public opinion.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates discussed with the members of the community their conditions and ways to activate their role abroad, pointing to the importance of establishing a framework for the community’s work that ensures the representation of the interests of all its members and enhances their communication with their mother country, Syria.

Minister Sabbagh stressed the continuous work of Syrian embassies in all countries to provide various consular services and provide the necessary assistance to members of the communities, and address any difficulties they face. He pointed out  in this regard that the ministry has launched electronic consular services platforms that contribute to facilitating their access to consular services.
