DAMASCUS,(ST)-Mohammad Khaled al-Mohammad,member of the national special games team.has clinched a gold medal in the Open China Special Games Championship (Grand Prix-2nd stage).
Al-Mohammad set a new record 12,50 m breaking his previous record 12,41 m he set in Dubai last February.
Commenting on al-Mohammad’s remarkable result, Hanaee al-Waz,secretary of the Special Games Federation,said:”al-Mohammad showed his prowess and stamina in the event and was able to defeat elite players from the Asian continent.Furthermore,he was able to improve his record in the shot put discipline according to the new rules of the international federation,”.
Al-Waz made it clear that the Grand Prix includes ten disciplines where the best players across the globe took part in.
It is to be noted that the next stage of the event will vbe held in Italy.
