Minister of Tourism Inaugurates Touristic Resort in Sweida

Minister of Tourism Bisher Yazjy has recently inaugurated a new hotel and restaurant in Atil village and a resort in Sweida governorate at the cost of one billion syp.

After the inauguration ceremony, the minister met with the officials of the directorate of tourism in the city.

During the meeting, Mr. Yazjy expressed satisfaction with the directorate’s performance, namely at the ongoing critical situation facing the country.

”Syria is facing a hostile campaign. we are at war and because of such situation, we need to multiply our efforts in the face of our homeland’s crisis. ” the minister said, adding the directorates of tourism in each governorate are the country’s gateway for tourism to local and foreigner tourists. He also called on the concerned officials in this domain to shoulder their responsibilities through offering full support to investors.”

”our touristic plans for the future depend on symbiotic cooperation and coordination among all the concerned parties all over the homeland’s territories to brave obstacles that hinder the work progress, especially under the current crisis.”

During the meeting, the minister gave a briefing about the government’s plan for the upcoming stage.

”we have now a national duty before us which is embodied in encouraging investments regarding the engagement in the forthcoming comprehensive development and the construction process in the country .”he said , adding ”tourism in not only confined to setting up establishments, it is a real nexus between man and nature. so we must work hand in hand with respect to developing our beloved Syria.”

During the meeting, the Minister announced the Ministry’s plan to establish a touristic Institute in Sweida.

The institute will work on marketizing tourism and disseminating the touristic education with an aim of entering the international tourism market.

”This period is a work period and due to this we must embolden the individual initiative to boost our economy.” He reiterated by calling on all the officials to assume their responsibilities in this regard.

The minister concluded the meeting by listening to some complaints concerning the obstacles that are hindering the work progress in the city, including the need for cooperation with the remarkable touristic establishments in the country and the need to hold crash courses on marketing tourism in the governorate .

After the meeting the Minister toured some touristic sites in the city and its countryside.

the meeting was attended by the governor Atif Nadaf , director of tourism, Yaaruob Arbied , mediamen and some other concerned parties.
