NGOs Declare Full Readiness To Receive and Provide Necessary Services to Displaced Lebanese Arriving in Syria

Damascus – (ST)-  Non-governmental organizations in Damascus and its countryside are working to receive arrivals from Lebanon due to the ongoing Israeli aggression, and to secure their necessary needs through several initiatives that have been launched and to benefit from the facilities provided by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor in this context.

The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor referred, via its Facebook page, to the initiative of the Charitable Health Association in Harasta in the Damascus countryside, which prepared its centers and announced its full readiness to receive Lebanese arrivals to Syria as a result of the brutal aggression, and to secure all their health and service requirements, including medical tests, x-rays, medications, and psychological support.

The Ministry stated that the Patient Relief Association and Clinic in the Al-Amin neighborhood in Damascus began receiving patients from among the arrivals and providing examination, treatment and free of charge necessary medications.

The ministry explained that this comes in response to the repercussions of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon and in view of the worsening humanitarian situation as a result of this aggression, as the ministry has been working since the first hours of the aggression to harness all the capabilities of the cadres in the health, medical and relief non-governmental organizations to support the Lebanese arrivals to Syria.
