Syrian Arab Army Finds Several Tunnels in Al-Mliha Town, Eliminates Dozens of Terrorists in Aleppo and Hama

PROVINCES,(ST)_Military sources have said  that  army units discovered several tunnels  in al-Mliha town in the eastern Ghouta of Damascus, warded off terrorist groups’ attack on al-Amereyeh area in Aleppo province and foiled infiltration bid in Hama province.

The sources have also confirmed the death of dozens of terrorists and destruction of weapons in today’s operations against terrorist groupings in many restive areas in the provinces of Aleppo, Idleb, Homs, Daraa, Der Ezzour and Damascus countryside.

In details, the official news agency (SANA) quoted a military source as citing that several tunnels, which had been used by the Takfiri armed terrorist groups, were found by the army units in al-Mliha town in Damascus countryside.  

On April 6th, the army units cordoned off al-Mliha town through which supply routes for terrorist groups inside the town and in the nearby towns were cut off.

Al-Qalamon battle

As for the latest developments in the ongoing al-Qalamon battle, the agency said that an army unit killed and injured members of a terrorist group in al-Sarkha town, to the south-west of Yabroud city, and wiped out their weapons.

Yesterday, the army units took control over Rankous town.

On March 29th, the army units restored stability and security to towns of Ra’as al-Ma’arra and Flita in al-Qalamon area ten days after recapturing Ra’as al-Ein town.

On March 16, the army units imposed full control over Yabroud city which was the terrorists’ major stronghold in al-Qalamon area .

Attack on area in Aleppo city foiled

In a further development, an army unit warded off terrorist groups’ attack on al-Amereyeh area near Salahedin quarter in Aleppo city and mowed down dozens of terrorists.

More terrorists were eliminated when the army units shelled terrorist groupings in more than 57 areas in Aleppo, Homs, Daraa, Der Ezzour and Idleb provinces.  

Rocket launchers, a local-made ordnance and several cars for terrorists were destroyed in the areas, according to the official agency.

The agency added that an army unit thwarted a terrorist group’s infiltration bid near Tal Waset town in Sahl al-Ghab area outside Hama province.

On the other hand, a source at Homs governorate declared that about 16 gunmen from quarters of Ba Hod, Bab Sba’a and al-Qarabis in Homs province turned themselves in to the competent authorities.

While in Quneitra province, the competent authorities regularized situations of almost 35 misled persons from Nab’a al-Sakher town under the ongoing national reconciliation process.

Soldiers and internal security forces were among the misled persons who returned to the homeland’s bosom having vowed not to carry out any act that jeopardizes the security of the country.
