Syria expresses sympathy with Iran, following coal mine explosion

Damascus, (ST) – The Syrian Arab Republic expressed its sympathy with the Islamic Republic of Iran’s leadership and people following the coal mine explosion in Tabas, which resulted in the death and injury of a large number of mine workers.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement on Monday: Syria’s leadership and people express their sincere sympathy with the leadership and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran, following the explosion in a coal mine in Tabas city, South Khorasan province, which resulted in the death and injury of a large number of mine workers.

The Foreign Ministry added in its statement: Syria offers its deepest condolences to the Iranian people and leadership and the families of the victims, and wishes speedy recovery to all the injured.

The Foreign Ministry said: Syria is confident that the friendly Iranian people will overcome this ordeal and will continue the path of production, construction and achievements it has made in all economic and developmental fields.
