US officials demand holding Zionist entity accountable for its cyber aggression that targeted wireless communication devices in Lebanon

US House of Representatives member, Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, confirmed that the Israeli aggression’s bombardment of wireless communication devices in Lebanon constitutes a violation of international law.

Cortez said in a post on the X platform: “The Israeli attack in Lebanon led to the bombing of thousands of wireless communication devices in a large number of public places, which led to the killing and serious injury of innocent civilians. This attack clearly and explicitly violates international humanitarian law, and undermines efforts to prevent the outbreak of a large-scale conflict.”

Cortez added: “Congress must submit a full report, as well as obtain answers from the State Department on whether any US assistance was used to spread or develop this technology that was used in the bombings.”

In turn, Senator Bernie Sanders introduced draft resolutions that would prevent US arms sales to the Israeli occupation entity. He  said: “Congress must act to save lives, uphold international law, and end our complicity in Israel’s illegal and indiscriminate military campaign, which has caused mass civilian deaths and suffering in Gaza Strip.”
