International Conference on Islamic Unity begins in Tehran with Syria’s participation
With the participation of Syria, the 38th session of the International Conference on Islamic Unity began its work today in Tehran, under the title “Islamic Cooperation to Achieve Common Values with focus on the Palestinian Issue”.
The conference is attended by the Syrian Ambassador to Tehran Shafiq Dayoub and 2,500 civil and military figures, as well as a group of elites and thinkers from Islamic countries. More than 230 religious scholars and intellectuals will deliver speeches in 16 virtual meetings who were unable to attend the conference in person for various reasons.
The conference secretariat received more than 313 articles, 44 of which were from 17 foreign countries. The summary of the articles is scheduled to be published in a booklet. This year’s conference will also present 12 books on the unity of the Islamic world.
