UNRWA warns of deteriorating health conditions in Gaza Strip

Occupied Al- Quds,( ST) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) warned of the spread of rodents and insects in Gaza Strip, which poses a threat to the health of the residents in the light of the deteriorating conditions resulting from the ongoing Israeli occupation aggression on the Strip.

The Wafa News Agency quoted UNRWA as saying in a statement today: The health conditions in Gaza are increasingly deteriorating day after day, as insects and rodents pose a threat to health by spreading diseases.

UNRWA referred that its teams are working to support displaced families, with the aim of preventing these pests from invading the crowded areas in which they live.

Since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Gaza on October 7, one million displaced people in the Strip have been forced to seek refuge in schools or in the homes of their relatives or acquaintances, or to set up tents in the streets, schools or other places under difficult humanitarian conditions, as there is not enough water and food, and diseases are spreading due to the occupation’s prevention of the entry of aid.
