Palestinian NGOs Network warns of the repercussions of winter on Gaza

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST)- The Palestinian NGOs Network has warned of the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Gaza Strip in the light of the ongoing genocidal war that has been going on for nearly a year, and the danger of the Israeli occupation preventing the entry of humanitarian aid, and the continued displacement of a large number of Palestinians in most areas.

WAFA News Agency, reported  that the network expressed in a statement its concern about the situation of the displaced, especially with the approach of winter, whether those in dilapidated tents or in crowded shelters or those who have rehabilitated parts of their destroyed homes, which may collapse at any time.

The network pointed out that there are gatherings of a large number of displaced people’s tents in areas near the beach that do not have prepared infrastructure, which  exposes them to flooding, denouncing the occupation’s continued prevention of the entry of shelter supplies, primarily tents, plastic covers, tarps and other needs to prepare for the winter.

The network called on the international community to work hard to pressure the occupation to stop the crimes of genocide, and to open the crossings to allow the entry of aid in all its forms, especially tents and cleaning materials. It also called for working to address the flow of water and expected floods from rainwater, which may be caused by torrents in low-lying areas.
