Shells Hit Faculty of Architecture and Urban Areas in Damascus and Aleppo

DAMASCUS,(ST)_Seven shells, fired by terrorists, have struck several areas in Damascus province, leaving five civilians wounded, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency quoted a source at police command as saying that two university students were wounded when a shell hit the Faculty of Architecture in the capital [Damascus].

The source added that another shell landed in the old fairground in Damascus with no casualties.

On March 28th, 2013, terrorists launched a shell on the same faculty, killing 10 university students and wounding 29 others.

Al-Kabbas and Dwel’a quarters hit by shells

Four more shells hit al-Kabbas quarter toady leaving two civilians wounded plus damages to several cars at the scene.

Last March, a citizen was martyred and three others wounded by mortar attack on the same quarter. However, Six days ago, a shell caused damages to a minaret of the ‘Abdullah Ben Omar’ Mosque there.

Another mortar attack took place in al-Dwel’a quarter when a shell landed on a house.

The owner of the house was wounded by the mortar attack which left serious damages to the house, a Police Command source said.

Yesterday, seven shells hit the quarter of Dwel’a where a 7-year old child was wounded and  fire broke out in a fuel tank.

In Aleppo province, two civilians were martyred and 15 others wounded by mortar attack on the quarter of Halap al-Jadedeh.
