The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned against the escalation of settlers’ crimes in the West Bank, noting that these crimes are part of the occupation’s plans to implement colonial annexation plans, which would undermine the opportunity to embody the Palestinian state on the ground.
The Foreign Ministry condemned, in a statement on Monday, the crime committed by settlers who attacked students and teachers in the Arab al-Ka’abneh village school, northwest of Ariha (Jericho).
The statement called on the international community to move beyond the circle of describing and condemning these crimes and to force the occupation government to stop these crimes and raise the level of international responses so that they are consistent with international law and they respect the United Nations’ obligations towards the Palestinian people through taking the necessary practical measures to force the occupation to stop the war of extermination, and adopting the necessary mechanisms to implement the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice.
On July 19th , the International Court of Justice issued an advisory opinion in which it confirmed that the continued Israeli presence in the Palestinian territories is illegal and that Israel must end this occupation as soon as possible.
