The Russian Coordination Center in Damascus and the Southern region provided medical aid to Bosra al-Sham National Hospital, and food aid to the town of Samad in the eastern countryside of Daraa.
Director of Bosra Hospital Fadl Abdul Hadi stressed the importance of the aid provided because it meets the hospital daily needs for patients and surgeries, pointing out that the hospital received several forms of aid from Russian friends during the past period.
The head of Samad municipality, lawyer Ibrahim Al-Samadi, expressed his thanks and appreciation for the initiative of the Russian delegation to contribute to securing these needs, indicating that the aid included food supplies necessary for the family, such as rice, flour, sugar, oil, tea, and canned food.
Deputy Head of the Center, General Ileg Ignasyuk, said in a statement to SANA that the needs in the region were studied, and accordingly, medical aid was distributed including necessary medicines such as anti-inflammatories, painkillers, serums, and mobility aids for the injured and the elderly, noting the strong relations between the Syrian and Russian peoples.
