Israeli entity relies in its attacks on Syria on Unlimited US Support, say two Russian politicians

Moscow, (ST) – Vice Chairman of the International Relations Committee of the Russian State Duma and member of the leadership of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Dmitry Novikov condemned the Israeli aggression on Syria. He stressed that the Israeli entity relies in its attacks on the unlimited support of the United States.

In an interview with SANA correspondent in Moscow today, Novikov clarified that America continues its aggressive and adventurous policy in Syria, sometimes using terrorist tools, and other times by occupying Syrian lands, plundering the wealth of the Syrian people, and imposing illegal sanctions on them.

Novikov pointed out that the civilizational importance of Syria, which has accumulated over many centuries, can enrich human civilization in various fields of historical development. Therefore, the repeated Israeli attacks on Syrian lands, including the recent aggression that claimed the lives of many Syrian citizens, arouse anger and must be met with deterrence, condemnation, and international denunciation in general.

Novikov indicated that the foundations of resolving the Middle East issues focus on the UN Security Council resolutions related to establishing an independent Palestinian state and forcing the occupation to abandon its aggressive and adventurous approach as well as the necessity of taking into consideration the interests of the Palestinian people and their rights to establish their independent state.

In a similar interview, the Head of the New People Party in the Russian Federation Alexei Nechayev condemned the recent Israeli aggression on Syria and stressed his denunciation of the US occupation of Syrian territories.

Nechayev said: The US occupation of Syrian territories and its behavior in stealing Syria’s wealth is condemnable and disgusting and it represents the essence of neoliberalism that the countries of the collective West, especially the United States, are displaying. He stressed his condemnation of the inhumane sanctions imposed on the Syrian people by Washington and other Western governments.
