Syria condemns new Israeli aggression on military points in Syria’s central region
Syria has stressed that the persistence of the Israeli occupation entity in its attacks on Syrian territories and other countries in the region and its continuation of its brutal war on the Palestinian people is evidence of its frantic pursuit of further escalation in the region with unlimited American and Western support. Syria has also called on all countries of the world to condemn the Israeli aggression and stand in solidarity with it in seeking to put an end to the systematic Israeli attacks and crimes.
“In continuation of its attacks on Syrian territories, the Israeli occupation forces launched a blatant air aggression Sunday evening from the northwestern side of Lebanon, targeting a number of areas, which resulted in the martyrdom of 16 people and the injury of 36, including 6 in critical condition, and also caused material damage to some residential areas”, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said on Monday in a statement.
The persistence of the Israeli occupation entity in its attacks on Syrian territories and other countries in the region, and its continuation of its brutal war on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and its perpetration of the most horrific massacres and crimes of genocide against the Palestinians, indicate the frantic pursuit of this bloody fascist entity for further escalation in the region and pushing it into dangerous situation that will have dire consequences that cannot be predicted.
The statement stressed that the unlimited support for the Israeli entity by the United States of America and other Western countries is what encourages it to continue its brutal crimes and ongoing aggression, which makes those countries partners in committing this aggression and covering it up, which requires accountability.
“The Syrian Arab Republic, which strongly condemned this sinful attack on its territory, warns against the continued international silence regarding Israel’s disregard for all international laws and conventions, and its violations of international law” the statement said.
It called on all countries of the world to condemn this Israeli aggression and stand in solidarity with it in seeking to put an end to the systematic Israeli attacks and crimes, and to hold the leaders of this racist entity accountable for all its crimes.
Syria reaffirms its firm right to defend its territorial sovereignty and liberate its occupied land by all legitimate means guaranteed by international law.
