Participants in “Expo Syria 2024”: The exhibition helps companies find new markets for their products

The New Fairgrounds in Damascus hosted the “Expo Syria 2024” Exhibition for Syrian exports between September 4th and 8th. 600 Syrian companies exhibited their products on an area of 50 thousand square meters. The exhibition witnessed huge turnout of visitors, estimated at 3,000, from outside Syria.
“Syria Times” interviewed a number of participants to highlight the importance of this event.
Raed Al-Nouri, owner of Al-Nouri Food Company, told Syria Times: “Our participation in this exhibition aims first and foremost at opening new markets for our products and to expand our business.  We produce food products including olives, pickles, pickled eggplants and truffles and other products and we export our production to all over the world.”
“These products are not available in the same techniques abroad . They are intended for homes and are admired and enjoyed by customers. Our company has been operating for 14 years, and the exhibition is an opportunity for us to market our products,” he said
 Another participant from the “Foodina Company” which is a company based in Hama, said that the company produces tea, sesame, pepper, rice, beans, canned food, and thyme. It also produces cumin, sumac, bay leaves, carob, nuts, herbs, apple cider vinegar and rose water.
The goal of our participation is to display our products and export them abroad. The expo is very important and it allows us to open new markets for our products, he added.
Qusai from  “Al-Samah Company” that produces women’s, children’s, and men’s socks and underwear, said that “the goal of participation is to display our various products, and this event is a good opportunity to export them”.
Israa from “Princess of the East Company” for Abayas and Moroccan Kaftans, Hand-embroidered Kalabiyat, Yala and Palestinian Dress, said “our factory has been working for a year to produce abayas and export them to Iraq, the Emirates, Saudi Arabia and other countries. Our participation aims to display our products to Arab and foreign visitors who came to Syria to visit the exhibition”.
“Since the exhibition was opened, we wanted all Syrian industries to be present in this event and show the high quality of Syrian textiles” she added.
Narmin Sayyouh, the scientific representative of Glora Company, said “our company produces medical and cosmetic products. We produce about 26 types, including skin treatment creams and cosmetic products such as tint, eyebrow wax and lip gloss, in addition to shampoo, oil baths, lotions, serums, and washes for all skin types and sunscreens, in addition to toners for the skin and hair, which our company is famous for”.
In addition, we produce medications for burns, skin infections, and other skin diseases.”
She went on to say “our company was established three years ago and our products are available exclusively in pharmacies. We are participating in Expo Syria because it is a window for all companies to display their products and export them”.
Jalal Omran, Sales Manager from “Super Star” Company, said “today we are displaying distinctive plastic products such as lunch boxes, water bottles, plastic tables, plates and boxes using technologies to develop our products
Our company was established two years ago and our participation in the exhibition aims at attracting customers and exporting our goods.
