Oil Minister inspected rehabilitation stages of a well drilling rig in Homs

HOMS, SEP.7, (ST)- Today, the Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources in the caretaker government, Firas Qaddour, inspected the rehabilitation stages of a well drilling rig in the fields of the central region, and held a meeting with the staff of the Syrian Gas Company and another meeting at the Homs refinery to discuss production plans and ways to improve performance.

In the Central Region fields,  Qaddour inspected the final stages of rehabilitation of the “ZG40” drilling rig of the Syrian Oil Company, which was sabotaged by terrorist organizations, where the national cadres of the Syrian Oil Company, in cooperation with a team of Chinese experts from the manufacturer, are rehabilitating it to be put into service.

At the Homs refinery, Minister Qaddour held a meeting with the technical staff during which the current situation and ways to improve performance were discussed, stressing the importance of cooperation and coordination between all concerned parties to follow up on periodic maintenance of production units with the aim of enhancing meeting national needs and raising the quality of products.
