Interior Minister: Syria’s steadfastness, foiled Western Colonial scheme

DAMASCUS,(ST)_ Interior minister Maj. Gen. Mohammed al-Shaar stressed that risks of the organized international terrorism Syria undergoes at the hands of the terrorist takfiri Wahhabi groups, backed by Western and regional countries is due to its geographical location and leading role in rejecting the American dictates.

In a meeting with cadets of the Martyr Basel al-Assad policemen College of Science yesterday, the minister noted that steadfastness of the Syrian people and the sacrifices of the brave army and internal security forces foiled scheme of the colonial West and the World Zionist in undermining Syria ‘s sovereignty and free national independence.

The Minister reiterated the importance of scientific, military, and moral rehabilitation, national commitment and preserving values and morals on the ground of which nations are built, calling on policemen to devote to learning programs and plans, shoulder assigned responsibility and carry out assigned tasks in order to keep the homeland independent and the beating heart of Arabism.

He urged the cadets to respect the rights of citizens and bridge any gap between the policeman and citizens wherever, noting that presence of policeman in the street enhances the prestige of the state, beside being a source of security for citizens.
