Palestinian Foreign Ministry: Netanyahu’s use of a map that includes the West Bank for the occupation entity is a disregard for international legitimacy

Occupied Al-Quds,(ST)- The Palestinian Foreign Ministry stressed that the use of a map by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that includes the occupied West Bank for the occupation entity is a disregard for international legitimacy and its resolutions, and a blatant challenge to international efforts to stop the war of extermination and displacement.

WAFA News agency reported  that the Foreign Ministry said in a statement today that it views with great seriousness this blatant violation of international law, especially since the occupation is committing the most heinous crimes against the Palestinian people in a practical embodiment of an attempt to liquidate the Palestinian presence and their just and legitimate national rights by displacing them from their homeland.

The Foreign Ministry pointed out that Netanyahu presented in his press conference yesterday a racist expansionist colonial plan that he is implementing on the ground in full view of the world, and therefore the international community must respect its obligations and implement the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice immediately and before it is too late.

Yesterday, Netanyahu provided an explanation of the plan for the occupation’s military operations in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip on a map that obliterated the West Bank, which represents an explicit declaration of annexing the West Bank to the occupation entity.

The International Court of Justice confirmed in its advisory opinion issued on July 19 that the continued Israeli presence in the Palestinian territories is illegal and that “Israel” must end this occupation as soon as possible.
