UN rapporteur warns of Israeli genocide crimes extending from Gaza to West Bank

Geneva, (ST) – The UN Special Rapporteur on the Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese, warned of the extension of the genocidal violence practiced by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people in  Gaza Strip to the West Bank.

Albanese said in a statement: Israeli apartheid targets Gaza and the West Bank as part of a comprehensive process of liquidation, occupation and expansion.

She added: The genocidal violence committed by “Israel” may extend beyond Gaza and extend to all parts of the occupied Palestinian territories.

Albanese considered that the impunity granted to the Israeli occupation entity for a long time has allowed it to put the Palestinians at the mercy of the forces seeking to eliminate them.

The UN rapporteur called on the international community to do everything in its power to put an immediate end to the threat of genocide against the Palestinian people and the settlement of Palestinian lands by the Israeli entity.
