Algerians in Syria cast their votes in their Country’s Presidential elections at the Algerian Embassy in Damascus

The Algerians in Syria on Monday cast their votes in their Country’s Presidential elections at the Algerian Embassy in Damascus.

After casting his vote, the Algerian ambassador to Damascus Kamal Bouchama affirmed that voting is a right for all citizens inside Algeria and abroad. He indicated that members of the Algerian community came today to practice their electoral right, vote and choose their president.

Bouchama pointed out that a large number of members of the Algerian community have been present in Syria for decades and have integrated into the Syrian society. Given their large number, the elections will be held over 6 days to provide an opportunity for all Algerians residing in different Syrian governorates to participate in the elections.

The ambassador also said that the participation of Algerians, both inside and outside the country, in the presidential elections proves the progress of the Algerian people who they want the best for their country and to seek development.

He noted that the recent People’s Assembly elections in Syria that took place last July were successful as the Syrian people always want the best for their country, and also the Algerian people aspire to further improve their country.

Ambassador Bouchama stressed the importance of concerted efforts in the Arab countries and working hard to convey their to all international forums and stand against those who control the world and rule it with double standards.
