Israeli occupation forces demolish house west of Ariha

On the other hand, the Israeli occupation forces on Monday demolished a house in the village of Al-Duyouk Al-Tahta, west of the city of Ariha (Jericho).

Local sources said that the occupation forces stormed into the village and demolished a house belonging to the citizen Ahmed Ali Al-Dhalam, with an area of 100 square meters, under the pretext that it was built without license.

Since the beginning of the Israeli’s comprehensive aggression on Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank last October, and in parallel with the unprecedented destruction of homes, buildings and facilities in the Strip, the demolition of citizens’ homes has escalated, especially in the so-called Area C, which constitutes about 60% of the area of the West Bank.

Data from the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission show that the occupation authorities carried out 62 demolition operations during August, which affected 78 facilities, including 36 inhabited homes, 8 uninhabited ones, and 13 agricultural facilities.
