Palestinian Prisoners’ Institutions: Thousands of Gaza Detainees Subjected to Forced Disappearance

Palestinian Prisoners ‘ Organizations confirmed that the Israeli occupation authorities have committed the crime of forced disappearance against thousands of Palestinian detainees since the start of the genocidal war on Gaza Strip.

The Commission for Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs, The Prisoners Club and the AL-Dameer Foundation for Prisoner Care and Human Rights said in a report today reported by WAFA News Agency: “the crime of forced disappearance constituted the most prominent aspects of the war of extermination that has been going on for more than ten months, in light of the continuous widespread detentions that affected all categories, including children, women and the elderly, in addition to targeting dozens of medical staff during repeated attacks on hospitals in the strip, the most prominent of which was the attack on the al-Shifa Medical Complex.”

The prisoners ‘ institutions pointed out that the shocking and awful testimonies of the released prisoners in Gaza Strip reflected an unprecedented level of torture and systematic medical crimes in the occupation prisons, where the first photos of the released detainees constituted a vivid testimony of the crimes committed against them and the inhumane conditions they were living inside the prisons.

The prisoners’ institutions indicated that the occupation has created special detention centers for Gaza detainees, most notably “Ofer”, “Anatot” and Camp Sadieh Timan, which formed the most prominent headline for the unprecedented level of torture crimes since the start of the war of extermination.

The prisoners ‘ institutions renewed their call on the international human rights system to restore its role for which it was established, to overcome the ongoing international deficit in the face of the war of extermination and to take clear decisions to hold the occupation accountable for its crimes against Palestinians, including those committed against the detainees.
