Terrorists Kill at least 9 Civilians by Mortar Attacks on Damascus, Aleppo and Idleb

PROVINCES,(ST)_At least  9 civilians have been martyred and 49 others wounded by mortar attacks on urban areas in Damascus, Aleppo and Idleb provinces, local media reports say.

The terrorists fired today several shells on al-Nil Street and al-Mokambo in Aleppo city, killing 5 civilians and leaving 26 others wounded, according to the official news agency.

The agency added that another terrorist attack took place in al-Qosor quarter in province of Idleb when shells-fired by terrorists, hit the quarter killing a civilian and wounding 14 others.

Three more civilians were martyred and 9 others wounded by mortar attacks on areas of al-Qa’ssa’a , al-Abbaseyen and al-Zablatani  and on the ‘Jawdat al-Hashemi’ School in the capital [Damascus], according to the sate-run Syrian TV channel.

A Police Command source declared that two school students from the ‘Jawdat al-Hashemi’ School were among civilians wounded by mortar attacks which caused damages to several cars and shops at the scenes.

Shell hit civilian mini-bus

Another terrorist attack happened in Damascus countryside, precisely on Harasta highway, a civilian was martyred and 12 others wounded when a shell-fired by terrorists- landed on a mini-bus.

Moreover, a terrorist sniper targeted a bus opposite the ‘Police’ Hospital on Harasta highway where one civilian was reportedly wounded.

The Police Hospital was also hit by a shell  at its entry causing material damages without casualties.

In central Homs province, the terrorists launched missiles on towns of Jeb al-Jrah and Abo al-Alaya where three civilians were wounded.

Other two civilians were wounded by detonation of an explosive device  planted by terrorists in Street of Cultural Center in al-Qameshli city.

About 134 civilians martyred in March

Last month, the terrorist attacks left more than 134 civilians martyred and 400 others wounded nationwide, according to  daily number of victims officially reported by local media.

It has been said that the foreign-backed terrorist groups escalated their mortar attacks on urban areas across the country after the army units imposed full control over Yabroud city in Damascus countryside.

The city of Yabroud was the terrorists’ major stronghold in al-Qalamon area.

The US, France, the UK, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Israel and Qatar sponsor the terrorist groups operating in Syria, world media reports say.
