General Establishment for Exhibitions and the Export Development Authority Preparing pavilions and providing logistical Support for (Expo Syria 2024) Exhibition
Damascus –(ST)- The new exhibitions city in Damascus is preparing to host the Syrian Exports Exhibition (Expo Syria 2024) next September, which is organized by the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry, in cooperation with the Syrian Federation of Trade and Agriculture, the Regional Office of the Arab Exporters Union, and the Syrian Garment Exporters Association.
Director of the General Establishment for Exhibitions and International Markets Halim Al-Akhras explained that the establishment has made the necessary preparations and equipped the infrastructure in the new exhibition city, in cooperation with the exhibition organizing bodies, in preparation for holding the Expo Syria 2024, noting that the exhibition will be at the regional level in terms of the number of participants and the occupied areas, which exceed 40 thousand square meters.
Al-Akhras explained that the establishment supports holding specialized and qualitative exhibitions due to their great impact on the Syrian economy by creating new markets to sell the Syrian product and export it abroad.
For his part, Director of the Local Production and Export Support and Development Authority Thaer Fayyad affirmed that the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade supports the Syrian industry and it has supported and encouraged the holding of the Syrian Export Exhibition, Expo Syria 2024, and provided all the necessary facilities for this economic event.
Fayyad pointed out that the Authority will participate with a pavilion that will serve as a center for inquiries about Syrian exports, and will provide all the data that visitors to the exhibition need, including the Authority’s programs and other information about the Syrian industry.
It is noteworthy that hundreds of companies operating in the textile, food, chemical, engineering, agricultural, and ornamental plant sectors, in addition to the shoe and leather industry, are scheduled to participate. About 2,000 businessmen from various Arab and European countries are to be invited to the exhibition.
