The Palestinian National Council calls for providing protection for the city of Al-Quds and its holy sites

On August 21st, the Palestinian National Council stressed that the ongoing attacks on the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque are part of the many crimes committed by the Israeli occupation during its ongoing attempts to Judaize Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and change its Arab and Islamic identity.

The Council said in a statement on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the burning of Al-Aqsa Mosque: “The Israeli occupation remains an ugly image that has nothing to do with humanity and its dignity, and the Palestinian people must obtain their full rights, reclaim their land, and turn the page on the racist, fascist occupation without return.”

The Council stressed that Al-Quds is the eternal capital of Palestine and that it is an integral part of the Palestinian national identity.

The Council called on the international community to provide international protection for the city of Al-Quds and its sanctities and to prevent the repeated attacks carried out by settlers on Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces and with the support of the US administration.
