Participants In Damascus Countryside Expatriates Forum stress the need to Provide Appropriate Climate for Investment
Damascus Countryside – Participants in the 2nd Damascus Countryside Expatriates Forum stressed the need to provide the necessary climate for investment and provide facilities that enable expatriates to invest in their country without obstacles.
Expatriates at the forum, held on Saturday in the city of Al-Nabk in the presence of civil and official personalities, expressed their readiness to harness their expertise in projects that achieve added value to the national economy.
In a statement to reporters, the Governor of Damascus Countryside Ahmed Khalil affirmed the continuation of work to encourage expatriate citizens to come to their country and coordinate with parties concerned to establish development projects, welcoming any community initiative that contributes to accelerating the wheel of development and achieving prosperity.
Khalil pointed out that the governorate coordinated with local councils and development work committees in the administrative units, noting the efforts of expatriates to serve their country.
In statements to SANA correspondent, Talat Al-Haffar, a member of the board of directors of the “With Al-Nabk is Better” initiative, said that the initiative includes 250 expatriates, calling for providing energy, as it is one of the most important pillars of the investment environment.
For his part, Saleh Basit, an expatriate in Saudi Arabia, stated that cooperation with the local community is very important for establishing real investment development projects that support the economy.
As Rabie Al-Masry, an expatriate in Saudi Arabia, pointed out that investment requires appropriate facilities, indicating that investment by expatriates is still small.
Expatriate Nimer Asaad Khalaf expressed his hope that expatriates would play a role in boosting the national economy, as they possess the potential and expertise, explaining that investment requires regulatory laws that encourage investment.
Mustafa Al-Rish, an expatriate in Saudi Arabia, pointed to the necessity of opening the way for expatriates to start work without any obstacles to encourage them to carry out investment tourism projects.
The forum included a film screening about the initiatives and works presented by expatriates to raise the level of services in their administrative units.
