Turkish people will hold Erdogan accountable for his crimes
The recent Turkish escalation against Syria was not a surprise to anyone since Turkey has been one of the main tools used by the US and Israel to carry out their sinister project against Syria from the very beginning of the crisis. It was not sufficient for Erdogan and his ilk to open the borders before terrorists coming from more than 83 states, train them and send them to Syria to kill Syrians and destroy Syria’s infrastructure, the Turkish authorities targeted a Syrian warplane violating the Syrian sovereignty in a new provocative step that reflects the involvement of Erdogan’s government in the crisis in Syria. The Turkish people will hold Erdogan accountable for his continued provocative acts against Syria, because targeting the Syrian aircraft within the Syrian territories constitutes a war crime committed by Erdogan’s government against Syria.
Downing the Syrian aircraft came in the framework of the Justice and Development Party’s electoral campaign in light of the sharp drop of Erdogan’s popularity in the aftermath of Erdogan’s failing and misleading internal and external policies. The aggression included firing tank and artillery shells on the Syrian territories to secure coverage for the armed terrorist groups to enter into Syria from the Turkish land.
Downing the Syrian aircraft is a provocative adventure by the Justice and Development party leader Erdogan, to serve his political greed believing that such an act might contribute to his re-election. The aggression on the Syrian aircraft is a provocation to war and a savage crime that is added to the sinister register of the burglary acts committed by Erdogan’s government which included the stealing of hundreds of factories in Aleppo and other Syrian cities and destroying the Syrian infrastructure. The Turkish people will dispose of the Justice and Development Party’s government soon as it failed to meet the aspirations of Turkish people at all levels.
We should differentiate between Erdogan government’s conspiratorial stand and the fraternal stand of the Turkish people who categorically reject Erdogan’s stands and foolish acts against Syrian people. This was crystal clear through the massive demonstrations that took to the streets of several Turkish cities protesting Erdogan’s criminal acts against Syria. Thousands of Turkish people took to the streets in Antioch and Sweidieh cities in Iskenderun district to express support for the Syrian Arab people in confrontation of terrorism and to condemn Erdogan’s support for the takfiri armed terrorist groups. The participants raised banners condemning foreign interference in Syria and rejecting war on it and chanted slogans against Erdogan and the US policy in the Middle East which is trying to implement a colonialist project that aims, among other things, to dominate the region politically and economically and perpetuate the Israeli occupation of the Arab territories.
They also expressed support for the Syrian people in confronting the armed terrorist groups which were exported to Syria via Turkey and financed by the petro-dollar Gulf states. They denounced the policy of the Justice and Development Party’s leader Recept Tayyip Erdogan who supports the armed terrorist groups in Syria by all possible means.
The military aggression which the Turkish government has waged against Syria’s sovereignty and the sanctity of its land in Kassab area over the past few days reflects Turkey’s actual involvement in the events in Syria from the beginning of the crisis up to now. The Turkish aggression is unprecedented and unjustifiable that also reflects bankruptcy of Erdogan and his complete failure in his policy against Syria.
