Russia: Gazprom continues to fulfill its obligations to pump gas to Europe

Moscow , (ST) – The Russian company “Gazprom” announced that it continues its commitment to pumping natural gas to Europe through Ukrainian territory, through a station located in the Russian Kursk region, which is witnessing a Ukrainian attack.

RT website quoted the company’s spokesman Sergei Kupriianov as telling reporters: Gazprom continues to pump Russian gas to Europe through Ukraine through the “Sudzha” station at the agreed volume of 42.4 million cubic meters.

He added that the volume of blue fuel supplies returned to its level last July and early this month.

The Ukrainian attack on the Kursk region in southwestern Russia raised concerns in European markets about gas supplies from Russia to Europe through Ukrainian territory, as the Russian region contains the Sudzha gas station, and gas supplies through this station are currently the only route for pumping Russian gas through Ukrainian territory to Europe, and Gazprom pumps about 15 billion cubic meters annually through the route.
