Martyr Hilal al-Assad escorted to final resting place amidst popular and official participation

Martyr Hilal Anwar al-Assad was born in 1967. He married and has 5 children. He holds a master’s degree in economics and planning.

He was martyred on Sunday as he was accompanying the National Defense Forces which backed the Syrian Arab army in confronting the Erdogan-government-backed armed terrorist groups in Kasab district in Lattakia province

Amidst popular and official participation, Lattakia province escorted Martyr Hilal al-Assad, Commander of the National Defense Forces in Lattakia, from the Military Hospital of Zahi Azraq to his final resting place.

Funeral prayers were performed by Chairman of the Great Prophet Complex in Lattakia, Sheikh Aiman Zaitoun.

In a statement to SANA, Lattakia Governor, Ahmad Sheikh Abdul-Qader, said that Martyr Hilal al-Assad is the martyr of the homeland, as he was brave and courageous and he loved his homeland and insisted on being at the front of the national defense along with the Syrian Arab Army.

The governor pointed out to the measures that ensure the security and stability of Lattakia in spite of the terrorists’ attempts which are backed by the government of Erdogan to destabilize the province.

For his part, MP Ammar al-Assad noted that Martyr Hilal al-Assad is embodied by every honest citizen in the homeland, stressing that the martyr proved that a man is in his deeds not his words as he accompanied the National Defense Forces on the battle ground in Kasab to support the Syrian Arab Army.
