Syrian equestrian Amre Hamsho withdraws from Paris Olympics due to his horse injury

Syrian equestrian Amre Hamsho has withdrawn from the competitions of the Paris Olympics 2024 due to his horse injury, the Syrian Arab Equestrian Federation announced on Monday.

In a statement published on its official website, the Federation said that the horse of the Equestrian Amre Hamsho suffers from a front leg injury and as laws and rules hat organize the Olympics prevent any replacement or change of a horse after passing the first and second medical tests.

It is to be noted that Hamsho’s horse passed these two tests.

In a statement Hamsho said “competing in the Olympics is a great honor and a dream for every athlete. I have spent the past years waiting impatiently for this moment to have the honor of representing my country, Syria, in this global championship. It is difficult for me to make this decision, but unfortunately I have no other choice, and I promise you that I will continue to make every effort to represent my country in international sports forums in the best possible way”.
