The Syrian Taekwondo team won 12 medals including two golds, one silver, and 9 bronzes at the Jordan Sons Taekwondo Open Championships, which concluded its competitions on Sunday with wide Arab participation of all categories.
In details, Mohamed Khaled Derki won the gold medal in fight, Falak Abdel Fattah won the gold of Poomsae, and Eva Abdi won a silver medal in the fight competitions in her category.
The Syrian team achieved 9 bronze medals, which came through the players Al-Zahraa Al-Arfi, Ahmed Al-Sheikh, Ali Al-Mohamed, Elaf Hassan, Bahr Al-Abbas, Ibrahim Hissam, Falak Haj Fattah, and Ali Assad in the fight, and Alaa Hussein in the Poomsae.
It is noteworthy that 1,100 male and female players participated in the tournament, representing 9 Arab countries: Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Oman, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the Emirates.
