Syrian Arab Army Arrests 12 Terrorists From Al-Nusra Front in Lattakia, Continues Targeting Terrorist Groups Everywhere

PROVINCES,(ST)_Media repots have confirmed the arrest of about 12 terrorists in Lattakia province and the death of the so-called ‘Soqour al-Badeyeh’ group’s ringleader in Hama province .

The reports said today that army units, in cooperation with the national defense forces, arrested 12 terrorists belonging to al-Nusra Front and the so-called the ‘al-Terkman’ battalion as they were trying to sneak into point 45 in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

On March 22nd, the army units killed the so-called al-Nusra Front’s Emir alongside 17 terrorists that tried to infiltrate from the Turkish territories  to attack some border crossing in northern countryside of Lattakia, according to the official news agency.

Turkish Gov. logistically supports terrorists

The state-run Syrian TV channel confirmed today the continuation of fighting between the army units and the armed terrorist groups in northern countryside of Lattakia, noting that Turkish ambulances convey the terrorists being injured in the ongoing fighting to Turkish territories to be treated. 

The TV channel’s reporter said that many terrorists of foreign nationalities were hit in the ongoing fighting.

Yesterday, Alikhbaria Syria TV channel said that Hilal al-Assad, the leader of national defense forces in Lattakia, was martyred during clashes in Kasab area in Lattakia countryside.

‘Soqour al-Badeyeh’ group’ ringleader killed 

In a further development, the official agency said that an army unit, in cooperation with locals in the southeastern countryside of Hama, stormed into a hideout for armed terrorist groups and mowed down the ringleader of the so-called the ‘Soqour al-Badeyeh’ group plus all his group’s members.

A military source declared that the army units hunted down terrorists on the sides of the Orontes River in the same area [southeastern countryside of Hama]and confiscated a quantity of weapons and munitions, including local-made missiles, rocket launchers, Russian rifles, snipers, CDs and documents.

Operations in al-Qalamon   

In Damascus countryside, many terrorists were eliminated in a series of operations that targeted their groupings in town of al-Mesherfeh, to the north-west of Yabroud city, and in town of al-Sarkha, to the south-west of the city as well as in Madaya mountains.

The operations coincided with clashes between army units and terrorist groups on several axes in Darayya city and in Jobar quarter where an unknown number of terrorists were killed and injured.

More terrorists, some of them were of Jordanian nationals, reportedly died in military operations in several restive areas in northern Aleppo province and central Homs province.

While in southern Daraa province, an army unit warded off a terrorist group’s attack on a garrison in Kherbet Ghazaleh.

8 deserters from Jab’adin surrendered

Regarding the national reconciliation process, a source at Homs province said that about 25 gunmen turned themselves in to competent authorities, putting the total number of misled men (from Homs) , who have returned to the homeland’s bosom, at 556 since the beginning of this month.

According to the official news agency, almost 493 gunmen from areas of Beqqin, Madaya, Darayya, Sbeneh, Ma’aloula, Yabroud, Jab’adin, al-Sarkha in Damascus countryside turned themselves in to competent authorities in less than a month.   

Moreover, 8 deserters in Jab’adin area outside Damascus surrendered themselves in to the competent authorities.

The situations of the deserters and gunmen were settled within national reconciliation efforts.

Syria is fighting terrorism exported from around 83 countries.

The US, France, the UK, Turkey, Israel, Saudi Arabia and Qatar sponsor terrorist groups operating in Syria, according to world media reports.
