Bagheri Kani to Borrell: Western silence encourages Zionist entity to continue its crimes

Iranian Acting Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani condemned the silence of Western countries about the crimes of the Zionist entity and their attempts to prevent the condemnation of the assassination of the head of the Political Bureau of the Palestinian resistance movement “Hamas” Ismail Haniyeh, by the UN Security Council.

In a telephone call today with EU foreign policy Commissioner Josep Borrell, Bagheri Kani stressed that the behavior of European countries and the United States and their silence on the expansion of the war to Yemen and Lebanon encouraged the Israeli entity to continue its aggressive actions, which in turn will lead to a threat to peace and stability in the region.

He stressed that the terrorist act carried out by the Zionist entity to assassinate Haniyeh in Tehran and violate Iran’s territorial integrity and national sovereignty endanger regional and international peace and security, stressing Iran’s inherent and legitimate right to punish the Zionist criminal gang.
