Russian Foreign Ministry: The assassination of Head of Hamas’ political bureau is an unacceptable political crime

The Special Representative of the Russian President for Middle East and African Affairs, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, stressed that the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Political Bureau of the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas , is “a completely unacceptable political crime.”

“This is an unacceptable political murder and will lead to a further escalation of tensions,” Bogdanov told RIA Novosti on Wednesday.

He pointed out that this crime “will have negative repercussions on the ceasefire discussions in Gaza.”

Kremlin: Haniyeh’s assassination is directed against attempts to establish peace in the region

Meanwhile, the Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov affirmed that the assassination of the head of the political bureau of the Palestinian resistance movement (Hamas) Ismail Haniyeh is directed against attempts to establish peace in the region.

In a statement to reporters today, Peskov added, according to the RT website: We strongly condemn this attack that led to the killing of Haniyeh.

He stressed that such actions are directed against attempts to establish peace in the region, and can significantly destabilize the already tense situation.

China condemns the assassination of Haniyeh

Meanwhile in Beijing,China condemned the assassination of the head of the political bureau of the Palestinian resistance movement (Hamas) Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran this morning.

France-Press Agency quoted Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said in a statement today that :We are deeply concerned about the incident and strongly oppose and condemn this assassination, warning that this could lead to further instability in the regional situation in the Middle East.

Pezeshkian: We will make the Zionist entity regret its action

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stressed that Iran will make the terrorist occupiers regret the assassination carried out against the head of the political bureau of Hamas Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.

Pezeshkian said in a statement today that the relationship between the people of Iran and Palestine will be stronger than ever before and we will continue the path of resistance and defending the resistance. He stressed that Iran will defend the integrity of its lands, honor and dignity and will make the terrorist invaders regret their cowardly acts.
