Israeli settlers set fire to olive-planted lands west of Ramallah  

Israeli settlers yesterday afternoon set fire to extensive agricultural lands in the vicinity of Rantis village, west of Ramallah, causing significant damage to olive trees.

Majid Khalaf, the head of Rantis village council, reported that a group of settlers from the “Hilltop Youth” gang ignited the fire in olive orchards north of the village.

Several trees were engulfed in flames before local residents managed to extinguish the blaze with the assistance of a fire brigade from the nearby town of Ni’lin, dispatched by the Palestinian Civil Defense.

Khalaf further disclosed that a similar attack occurred the day before, targeting another olive grove west of the village.
