DPRK affirms support for the Syrian people’s struggle to protect their country’s sovereignty

Damascus, (ST) – The Foreign Minister of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Choi Son-hee has affirmed Pyongyang’s support for the Syrian people’s struggle to protect their country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

This came during a meeting between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Bassam Sabbagh with “Choi Chang-ho”, the Chargé d’Affaires of the DPRK Embassy in Damascus on Wednesday, who conveyed to Sabbagh a congratulatory message addressed to Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad from the Korean Foreign Minister Choi Son-hee on the occasion of the 58th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries. In her message, Son-hee expressed her country’s support for and solidarity with the Syrian people in their just struggle to protect the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

For his part, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirmed the depth of relations between the two friendly countries, stressing the importance of strengthening them and intensifying cooperation and coordination between the two sides in various fields that serve their interests.
