Palestinian Prisoners’ Affairs Commission: Prisoners in Ofer jail suffer from real famine and medical neglect

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian Prisoners’ Affairs Commission  revealed that prisoners held in Ofer prison are facing difficult health conditions and are suffering from real famine.

The Commission said in a statement today, reported by Wafa News Agency, that the occupation authorities are depriving prisoners of food, which has led to the exhaustion of their bodies and turning them into skin and bones and causing them to suffer from many diseases, in the light of medical crimes and deliberate medical neglect.

“In addition to all these matters many of prisoners have sustained wounds and fractures as a result of torture, in addition to their suffering from the lack of clothing, cleaning materials and all life necessities, denouncing the silence of international institutions over the occupation’s crimes against prisoners”, the Commission added.

About 10 days ago, the Commission’s lawyer Khaled Muhajna conveyed horrific testimonies from prisoners detained from Gaza Strip during his visit to Ofer prison, clarifying that they are subjected to the most heinous types of attacks, and revealing that police dogs attack prisoners and gnaw at their bodies while their hands are tied behind their heads.
