Zionist Enemy Newly Violates Disengagement Agreement in Occupied Syrian Golan: Army General Command

DAMASCUS, (ST)-The Zionist enemy yesterday afternoon fired a number of artillery and tank shells as well as anti-tank missiles on areas near Sheita village and on a hill causing material damages, a statement by the General Command of the Army and Armed Forces said.

According to the statement, the attack violates the Disengagement Agreement in the occupied Syrian Golan.

The statement added that the Zionist warplanes Wednesday morning targeted the sites of al-Kweisa, Nabe’ al-Fawar and Sa’sa in the liberated city of Quneitra, causing the martyrdom of a security personnel and the wounding of seven others.

The aggression coincided with an attack by terrorists coming from the Jordanian side on the central prison in Dar’a, said the statement.

“The new Zionist aggression aims to divert the attention from the successive victories attained by the Syrian Arab Army particularly in Yabroud, where the terrorists groups and their supporters, foremost of which is the Zionist entity, received a smashing blow. It also aims to raise the collapsed morale of the terrorists after their defeats in different parts of the country,” the statement said.

It concluded by stressing the Syrian army’s determination to press ahead with fighting terrorist groups across the country and by warning of such desperate attempts which aim to escalate tension and threaten the region’s security and stability.
