Lavrov at a photo exhibition on Syrian-Russian Relations: Syria is An Important and Reliable Partner on the World Arena

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stressed that Syria is an important and reliable partner on the global scene, with which Russia has been able to eliminate the roots of terrorism in all its territory and that bilateral relations between the two countries are stable at all levels.

Lavrov said today during the opening of the photo exhibition at the headquarters of the Russian Foreign Ministry as part of the events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of establishing Russian-Syrian relations, “we are living at a difficult stage because of the challenge of the United States to establish the new world order, as the West seeks to maintain its dominance at the expense of other peoples, but it will fail to do so.”

In his speech at the opening of the exhibition, the Syrian Ambassador to Russia, Bashar Al-Ja afari stressed that what distinguishes bilateral relations between Russia and Syria is their permanent growth and development without any problems or obstacles at any of the stages.

Al-Ja afari said, ” I am very proud today of the opening of this exhibition which is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and the Syrian Arab Republic”.

Al-Jaafari pointed out that the photos exhibited today are very special and are part of the rich archive held by the ministers, as each photo tells a story and presents an important occasion from the memories that indicate our friendship.
